Ok, so. Chaos has dropped out of ponymon (he’s still doing sprites, so he might do a few here and there for the game, but he’s not officially tied to the project anymore), which means that we need some sprite talent to fill the gap.
Now, I am by no means the project head, so anything I say is subject to being overruled by Cobalt or Flutter. However, since I’m kind of the only spriter right now (though I have/am going to ask a few longtime members of the wiki and project to stand in, at least temporarily.) and I’m waaaaaaaay too lazy/busy to do all that spriting by myself, I’m officially opening applications for artists.
That said, I don’t want to expand too fast and have things get out of hand. So for right now, I’m only opening up two sprit…Read more >
EDIT: Removing the original content of this post, since I started putting together a final draft of the Gen II dex a few weeks ago (fans actually voted on the final BG pony for it on October 24th), but people were still stumbling across this old post and making suggestions.
For those curious about the state of the Generation II dex, I have already sent the draft to Chaos, Flutteryay, and that other guy who handles the official tumblr account (just kidding IWearHatsIndoors) for review. Once I get the ok from them, I'll probably get around to posting it on the wiki... whenever I'm not working, juggling the two year old living with us, organizing stuffage for a friend who has a malignant tumor, and trying to force myself to play a game I have …Read more >
Hey all, I'm Tomato, one of the main artists currently working on Ponymon (All those icons? My work). Now, lately I've been noticing an awful lot of people have been showing interest in doing some spritework for us. And while that's all fine in theory, so many of you have been just randomly posting your work where it doesn't belong that it's become a bit of an annoyance.
Keep in mind guys, we do have lives. Even if we were actively recruiting other artists, we don't have the time to respond to every submission immediately. And by continuing to randomly post artwork trying to get us to notice you, you're clogging up sections of the wiki.
If you legitimately want to help us out (and why wouldn't you, we're awesome), then please give me a bit o…Read more >
Something I've been working, mostly on a whim.
As you can see below, I completed Twilight and a "Battle Plot" base.
Now, everyone keep in mind, this is NOT something I've discussed implimenting with Chaos OR Flutteryay as of yet, and I don't actually want to discuss it either. As is, we've still got to finish a HUGE chunk of the battle sprites, as well as over half of the icons (76 remaining atm) before we could even THINK of implimenting something like this on a large scale. There's only two of us working graphics, and Chaos is already pulling double duty as one of the project heads (and, y'know, playing Diablo >P )
I did this mostly on a whim, and just I wanted to show it off. Until we make a bigger dent in all the graphics, that's how it'…

This is actually a repost of a subject I raised a few months ago on my tumblr page, but I'm posting it here because the audience for my tumblr is more comic nerds than bronies.
So, having had time to read some of the MLP fan-fiction of late, I wanted to address something that's been bugging me for a long time now. See, in many of the adventure/action stories I've read that involve the mane cast, the fanfics either turn Luna back into Nightmare Moon or explain her descent into darkness as the result of mystical evil artifact/mysterious force/plot device X to give whatever new thread the author has conjured up has some tenuous basis in canon. This is a major point of contention with me for several reasons (negates Luna's redemption, relegates…
